Vivo X200 Ultra

Vivo has officially introduced the Vivo X200 Ultra in China, positioning it as the most powerful model in the X200 lineup. As the successor to the Vivo X200 Pro, this flagship brings notable upgrades in display resolution, processing power, and camera technology. In this article, we’ll take a closer look at the Vivo X200 Ultra’s specifications, features, and its expected price in Nepal.

Vivo X200 Ultra Overview

Display and Design

The Vivo X200 Ultra features a large 6.82-inch LTPO AMOLED display with a sharp 1440 × 3200 resolution. The panel supports a 120Hz adaptive refresh rate, Dolby Vision, and an impressive 3000 nits peak brightness, ensuring excellent visibility even under direct sunlight.

Design-wise, the phone looks premium with curved glass on both sides and a solid metal frame. The rear houses a bold circular camera module that instantly signals its flagship status. Vivo has also added a dedicated camera control button, offering advanced functionality similar to professional cameras.

This button supports:

  • Half-press for focus
  • Double-press to launch the camera
  • Full-press to capture photos
  • Sliding gestures for zoom and exposure control
  • Long-press for burst shots

These features make the X200 Ultra especially appealing to mobile photography enthusiasts.

Performance and Hardware

Under the hood, the Vivo X200 Ultra is powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite processor, replacing the MediaTek Dimensity 9400 used in the X200 Pro. Built on a 3nm process, the chipset delivers improved performance, better AI capabilities, and enhanced power efficiency.

Graphics are handled by the Adreno 830 GPU, ensuring smooth gaming and fast rendering. With up to 16GB of RAM and 1TB of internal storage, the phone easily handles multitasking and heavy workloads.

Camera System

The Vivo X200 Ultra boasts one of the most advanced camera setups in a smartphone. On the rear, it features a triple-camera system designed in collaboration with Zeiss:

  • 50MP Ultra-wide camera (14mm, f/2.0) with a 1/1.28-inch Sony sensor
  • 50MP Main portrait camera (35mm, f/1.69) with a shallow depth of field
  • 200MP Telephoto camera (85mm, f/2.27) using Samsung’s HP9 sensor

All three rear cameras support Optical Image Stabilization (OIS). The 200MP telephoto lens also supports macro photography, making it extremely versatile.

For selfies, there’s a 50MP front-facing camera, delivering detailed and sharp images.

Video Capabilities

The Vivo X200 Ultra supports 10-bit 4K video recording at 60fps across all rear cameras. It also offers slow-motion video recording up to 4K at 120fps, making it a strong option for content creators.

Image processing is handled by two dedicated chips:

  • VS1 chip for RAW data pre-processing
  • V3+ chip for post-processing tasks such as color correction and filters

Photographer Kit (Optional Add-on)

Vivo also offers a Photographer Kit for users who want a DSLR-like experience. This optional accessory includes:

  • A camera grip with a dedicated video record button
  • Customizable control dial and zoom lever
  • Built-in 2,300mAh battery, complementing the phone’s 6,000mAh battery
  • Zeiss 2.35x telephoto converter lens, extending zoom from 3.7x to 8.7x
  • Shoulder strap and improved ergonomics

Battery and Charging

The device packs a 6,000mAh battery, which should comfortably last a full day of heavy usage. It supports 90W wired fast charging and 40W wireless charging, making it slightly faster than the X200 Pro in wired charging speeds.

Software and Additional Features

The Vivo X200 Ultra runs on Android 15 with OriginOS 5 out of the box. Vivo has promised four years of Android updates and five years of security patches, ensuring long-term software support.
