OPPO has officially unveiled the OPPO Reno 15 Pro in China alongside the standard Reno 15. This Pro variant brings a larger display, a slightly bigger battery, and the long-awaited addition of wireless charging. That said, the Reno 15 Pro doesn’t introduce any major design or performance breakthroughs, as most of its hardware closely mirrors the Reno 14 Pro. Still, let’s take a detailed look at everything the OPPO Reno 15 Pro offers, including its specifications, features, expected price in Nepal, and availability.
Display and Design
Compared to the 6.32-inch panel on the regular Reno 15, the OPPO Reno 15 Pro features a significantly larger 6.78-inch flat AMOLED display. It offers a sharp 1.5K resolution of 2772 × 1272 pixels and supports a smart 1–120Hz adaptive refresh rate with a 240Hz touch sampling rate. OPPO claims the panel can hit up to 3600 nits of peak brightness, making it ideal for outdoor visibility.
One surprising downgrade, however, is the PWM dimming. While the standard Reno 15 boasts a higher frequency, the Reno 15 Pro settles for 2160Hz high-frequency PWM dimming.
Design-wise, OPPO has kept the bezels ultra-thin at just 1.15mm and added Crystal Shield Glass protection on the front. The phone is available in Starlight, Honey Gold, and Canelé Brown color options. The Starlight variant stands out with its holographic lithography bow pattern that shimmers as light hits it from different angles. OPPO has also used high-gloss, ice-clear glass that resists fingerprints.
In terms of durability, the OPPO Reno 15 Pro is well protected with IP66, IP68, and IP69 ratings for dust and water resistance. The cold-carved glass back, textured metal frame, and starlight mirror structure further enhance the phone’s premium feel.
Performance and Software
The OPPO Reno 15 Pro runs on the same MediaTek Dimensity 8450 chipset found in both the standard Reno 15 and last year’s Reno 14 Pro. Built on a 4nm process, the octa-core processor clocks up to 3.25GHz and is paired with a Mali-G720 MC7 GPU.
OPPO offers the phone with up to 16GB of LPDDR5X RAM and up to 1TB of UFS 3.1 storage. To keep temperatures under control, the device features OPPO’s Nano Ice Crystal Heat Dissipation system.
On the software side, the Reno 15 Pro ships with Android 16 out of the box, layered with ColorOS 16, offering the same software experience as the standard Reno 15.
Camera Setup
Camera hardware on the OPPO Reno 15 Pro is identical to the regular Reno 15. It features a triple rear camera setup led by a 200MP primary sensor (1/1.56″) with an f/1.8 aperture and optical image stabilization (OIS).
Alongside it is a 50MP ultra-wide camera with a 116° field of view and f/2.0 aperture, which is slightly wider than the standard model. The third camera is a 50MP periscope telephoto lens offering 3.5× optical zoom with OIS and an f/2.8 aperture.
All rear cameras support 4K video recording at up to 60fps. On the front, the OPPO Reno 15 Pro features a 50MP selfie camera with an f/2.0 aperture, which can also record 4K videos at 60fps.
Battery and Charging
One of the notable upgrades on the OPPO Reno 15 Pro is its larger 6500mAh battery, compared to the 6200mAh cell on the standard Reno 15. This increase is expected due to the Pro model’s bigger footprint.
The phone supports 80W SuperVOOC wired fast charging, but the highlight here is the addition of 50W AIRVOOC wireless charging—something missing on the regular Reno 15.
