OnePlus Ace 6

OnePlus has officially unveiled the OnePlus Ace 6 in China alongside the OnePlus 15. The Ace 6 delivers several flagship-level features at a more affordable price. Globally, this device is expected to launch as the OnePlus 15R. In this article, we will explore everything about the latest OnePlus Ace 6, including its specifications, key features, expected price in Nepal, and availability.

OnePlus Ace 6 Overview

Display

Starting with the display, the OnePlus Ace 6 features a large 6.83-inch flat AMOLED panel with 1.5K resolution (2,800 × 1,272 pixels). Just like the flagship OnePlus 15, the phone supports a 165Hz refresh rate with intelligent switching between 60Hz, 90Hz, 120Hz, 144Hz, and 165Hz depending on the content.

OnePlus claims the display can reach an impressive 5,000 nits peak brightness, making it brighter than most flagship smartphones currently available. The screen also includes Bright Eye Protection technology and carries the Little Gold Label certification for enhanced eye safety.

For gamers, OnePlus has introduced several display-focused features. The Touch and Display Sync technology improves responsiveness, while Gyroscope Sensitive Tracking enhances shooting stability in games. Additionally, the phone supports Rain Touch technology, allowing you to use the display even with wet hands.

Security also gets an upgrade with an ultrasonic in-display 3D fingerprint sensor, which works reliably even when the screen is wet.

Design

In terms of design, the OnePlus Ace 6 adopts the same metal cube design language seen on the OnePlus 15. The device measures 8.32 mm in thickness and weighs 213 grams, giving it a premium yet solid feel.

The phone features a metal frame paired with a micro-gradient silk glass back panel, which adds a stylish touch. OnePlus has also significantly improved durability by offering IP66, IP68, IP69, and IP69K ratings, providing top-tier protection against dust and water.

The Ace 6 is available in three color options:

  • Competitive Black
  • Flash White
  • Quicksilver

Another interesting addition is the Plus Key, a customizable physical button on the side. Users can assign different actions to this button, such as switching ring modes, launching the camera, toggling the flashlight, translating text, or opening the AI Plus Mind Space.

Performance and Software

Under the hood, the OnePlus Ace 6 runs on Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset, built on a 3nm process, paired with the Adreno 830 GPU. Although it is not the newest processor available, it still powers several flagship devices and delivers top-tier performance.

The phone comes with up to 16GB LPDDR5X Ultra RAM and 1TB UFS 4.1 storage, ensuring fast multitasking and quick data access.

For gaming enthusiasts, OnePlus has included a dedicated gaming chip called the Wind Chip Gaming Core. According to OnePlus, this chip enables consistent 165Hz full-frame gaming with improved 1% low frame rates and smoother multi-window performance.

To keep temperatures under control, the device features an advanced Glacier Cooling system. OnePlus also claims that signal strength improves by up to 60%, ensuring stable connectivity during gaming sessions.

The Ace 6 supports features such as Bypass Power and In-Game Recharge, which help reduce heat during charging while gaming. The phone runs ColorOS 16 based on Android 16.

Camera System

For photography, the OnePlus Ace 6 offers a dual-camera setup.

The primary camera is a 50MP Sony IMX906 sensor (f/1.8) with optical image stabilization (OIS). It is accompanied by an 8MP ultra-wide camera (f/2.2) with a 112° field of view.

On the front, the device features a 16MP Sony IMX480 camera (f/2.4) for selfies and video calls.

The phone supports 4K video recording at 60fps, and OnePlus has also added flagship-grade gyroscope tracking to improve stabilization during photography and video recording.

Battery and Charging

Battery life is one of the biggest highlights of the OnePlus Ace 6. The device packs a massive 7,800mAh battery, which OnePlus claims is the largest battery in its segment.

Interestingly, this battery is even bigger than the 7,300mAh unit found in the OnePlus 15.

Although the phone does not support wireless charging, it compensates with 120W SuperVOOC fast charging. According to OnePlus, the charger can power the battery to 50% in just 16 minutes.

Additionally, a 10-minute charge can provide around 3.3 hours of gameplay, making it ideal for heavy users and gamers.
