Honor Power 2

Honor has kicked off 2026 with a bang by launching the Honor Power 2 in China. Following the success of the original Power series from April 2024, this new mid-range powerhouse focuses heavily on battery life and performance. In fact, it features the largest battery ever seen in an Honor smartphone, paired with a powerful new MediaTek chipset.

Let’s take a closer look at the specs, features, and expected price of the Honor Power 2 in Nepal.

Honor Power 2 Overview

Display and Design

The Honor Power 2 sports a large 6.79-inch LTPS OLED display with a sharp 1.5K resolution (2640 × 1200 pixels) and a smooth 120Hz refresh rate. This combination ensures vibrant visuals and fluid scrolling for everyday use and gaming.

Interestingly, Honor claims the display can reach up to 8,000 nits of peak brightness for HDR content. While that number sounds unusually high, it suggests the phone will perform exceptionally well in bright outdoor conditions.

In terms of design, the phone looks sleek and modern. It measures just 7.98mm thick and weighs 216 grams, making it relatively slim for a device with such a massive battery. The rear design clearly draws inspiration from the iPhone 17 Pro lineup, giving it a premium aesthetic. You can choose from three colors: Midnight Black, Snow White, and Sunrise Orange. Honor also uses a sturdy metal frame, and internally, the device carries the codename “Saber.”

Performance and Software

Powering the device is the new MediaTek Dimensity 8500 Elite chipset, which reportedly delivers better performance than the Dimensity 8400. With a prime core clocked at 3.40GHz, three performance cores at 3.20GHz, and four efficiency cores at 2.20GHz, the Power 2 handles demanding tasks with ease.

Honor pairs this chipset with 12GB of RAM, along with an additional 12GB of virtual RAM for smoother multitasking. You also get storage options of 256GB or 512GB.

On the software side, the phone runs Android 16 with MagicOS 10 on top, offering a clean interface and updated features.

Camera System

The Honor Power 2 keeps things simple in the camera department, focusing more on performance and battery instead. It features a 50MP primary camera for standard shots, along with a 5MP ultra-wide lens for wider scenes.

On the front, you get a 16MP selfie camera, which should be sufficient for video calls and social media.

Battery and Charging

Battery life is the biggest highlight of the Honor Power 2. The phone packs a massive 10,080mAh battery — the largest ever in an Honor smartphone.

According to Honor, the device delivers:

  • Up to 20.3 hours of screen-on time
  • Around 22 hours of short video playback
  • Up to 14.2 hours of gaming

This makes it an ideal choice for heavy users, gamers, and travelers.

To keep things practical, Honor includes 80W fast charging support, allowing you to recharge quickly despite the huge battery. However, the phone does not support wireless charging.
