Realme recently launched the Realme 12X 5G in Nepal, and the brand hasn’t slowed down. It has now introduced the Realme C63, a new budget smartphone that brings eye-catching design elements, the unique Air Gesture feature, and fast charging at an affordable price. The phone is also available in a new 8GB RAM and 128GB storage variant.
Realme C63 Overview
Design and Display
The Realme C63 clearly draws inspiration from iPhones, especially on the rear side. It features a squircle-shaped camera island with three circular cutouts, giving it a premium appearance. However, Realme adds its own touch with distinctive finishes.
The Leather Blue variant comes with a vegan leather back, offering a soft and grippy feel, while the Jade Green version features a smooth surface with elegant watery patterns. Additionally, the phone includes IP54 dust and water resistance, which is impressive for a budget device.
On the front, the Realme C63 sports a 6.74-inch display with a waterdrop notch. Although Realme does not specify the panel type, it confirms a 90Hz refresh rate, 180Hz touch sampling rate, and HD+ resolution (720 × 1600). The screen supports brightness levels ranging from 1 nit up to 560 nits, ensuring decent visibility in various lighting conditions.
Performance
The Realme C63 runs on the UNISOC T612 processor, an entry-level chipset built on a 12nm process. It features eight CPU cores clocked at 1.8GHz, making it suitable for basic daily tasks such as browsing, social media, and light app usage. However, this phone is not designed for heavy gaming or demanding workloads.
Realme offers the C63 in 6GB and 8GB RAM variants, along with virtual RAM expansion of up to 8GB. In terms of storage, users can choose between 128GB and 256GB, and the phone also supports microSD cards for further expansion.
Camera and Additional Features
For photography, the Realme C63 comes with a 50MP primary rear camera, which handles standard photography tasks and supports features like QR code scanning. The secondary camera mainly serves a decorative purpose.
On the front, the phone includes an 8MP selfie camera, which also enables the standout Air Gesture feature. This feature allows users to perform actions like scrolling or switching content by simply waving their hand in front of the screen.
Realme continues its iPhone-inspired approach with software features as well. The Mini Capsule 2.0 mimics Apple’s Dynamic Island by showing notifications and system activities around the notch area. The phone also lets users assign custom actions to the power button, such as turning on the torch, activating silent mode, or launching the camera—similar to the Action Button found on newer iPhones.
Powering everything is a 5,000mAh battery paired with 45W fast charging, which is rare in this price range. The device also includes 360° NFC, expanding its usability for payments and connectivity.
