Realme Note 60

Realme has officially launched two new budget smartphones in Nepal — the Realme Note 60 and Note 60x. In this article, we’ll focus on the Realme Note 60, which closely resembles another Realme device already available in the market. Let’s dive into its design, performance, features, and official price in Nepal.

Realme Note 60 Overview

Design and Display

The Realme Note 60 shares almost an identical design and hardware setup with the Realme Narzo N61. Despite the similarities, Realme adds its ArmorShell protection, which enhances overall durability. Thanks to this, the phone earns an IP64 rating, offering better dust and water resistance than the IP54 protection found on its Narzo counterpart.

On the front, the Realme Note 60 sports a 6.74-inch display. While Realme hasn’t officially confirmed the panel type, it is most likely an IPS LCD. The screen supports a 90Hz refresh rate, 180Hz touch sampling rate, and delivers up to 560 nits of peak brightness, making it fairly smooth and usable outdoors.

The phone comes in Voyage Blue and Marble Black color options. The Voyage Blue variant stands out with subtle wavy patterns on the back panel.

Performance

Powering the Realme Note 60 is the UNISOC T612 processor, the same chipset used in the Narzo N61. This octa-core processor is built on a 12nm process and clocks up to 1.8GHz, handling everyday tasks like browsing, social media, and light gaming without much trouble.

In Nepal, Realme offers the Note 60 in a single 6GB RAM and 128GB storage configuration. The phone also supports Dynamic RAM expansion, allowing users to convert up to 16GB of storage into virtual RAM. Additionally, storage can be expanded by up to 2TB via a microSD card.

Realme includes its AI Boost feature as well, which dynamically optimizes power output for smoother performance during daily use.

Camera and Battery

For photography, the Realme Note 60 features a 32MP primary rear camera, paired with an auxiliary sensor whose purpose appears to be largely cosmetic. On the front, although Realme hasn’t officially disclosed the selfie camera details, the phone likely uses the same 5MP front camera found on the Narzo N61.

Fueling the device is a 5,000mAh battery, which comfortably lasts a full day under normal usage. Charging happens at 10W, which is standard for phones in this segment.

On the software side, the Note 60 runs Android 14 with Realme UI on top. It also includes Mini Capsule 2.0, Realme’s take on Apple’s Dynamic Island. Another useful feature is improved touch accuracy, which helps prevent accidental inputs caused by water droplets on the screen.
