While these new smartphones don’t bring major upgrades, they focus on durability, smooth displays, and reliable 5G performance. Design and Display
The Realme V70 and V70s feature a sleek and modern design with a slim 7.94mm profile and a weight of around 190 grams. Realme builds these phones with durability in mind, offering IP64-rated water and dust resistance, reinforced corners, and military-grade drop protection. You can even use the display with wet or oily hands, making the phones practical for everyday use.
In terms of colors, the Realme V70 comes in Black, while the V70s stands out with its Cangshan Green finish.
Both devices sport a 6.72-inch display with a 120Hz refresh rate, delivering smooth scrolling and responsive touch interactions. Realme also includes full DC dimming, adaptive color temperature, and multiple eye-care modes to reduce flicker and eye strain during long usage sessions.
Performance and Battery
Realme powers the V70 with the MediaTek Dimensity 6300 5G chipset, built on a 6nm process. The processor features two Cortex-A76 cores clocked at 2.4GHz and six Cortex-A55 cores running at 2.0GHz. However, performance remains similar to the previous V60, with no major leap forward.
The Realme V70s, on the other hand, runs on the MediaTek Dimensity 6100+ 5G, the same chip used in the V60 series. It includes two Cortex-A76 cores at 2.2GHz and six Cortex-A55 cores at 2.0GHz. While reliable for daily tasks, many users may have expected a more powerful upgrade.
Both phones support dynamic RAM expansion up to 16GB (8GB physical + 8GB virtual) and offer 256GB of internal storage. They run on Realme UI 6.0 based on Android 15, ensuring a modern software experience.
For battery life, Realme equips both models with a 5,000mAh battery, similar to the V60. According to the company, users can expect up to 10 hours of video playback, 38 hours of talk time, and nearly 80 hours of music playback on a single charge.
Camera and Audio
The Realme V70 series delivers a noticeable upgrade in the camera department. Both phones feature a 50MP AI primary camera, replacing the 32MP sensor found on the V60. With Magic Depth AI, the camera captures more natural portrait shots with improved depth and layering.
On the audio side, Realme includes 300% ultra-loud speakers, producing clearer and louder sound even in noisy environments. This enhancement significantly improves the experience when watching videos or listening to music.
