Being a flagship phone of Samsung has planned to put the top latest and greatest hardware on Galaxy S20. The US variant of Galaxy S20 is powered by Snapdragon 865 Chipset, which is 25% faster than its predecessor. Other global variants are having Exynos 990 Chipset which is made by Samsung. Similarly, Galaxy S20 got QHD+ AMOLED panel, Triple rear camera, and a bigger battery, IP68 water, and dust resistant, under-display fingerprint sensor. The official price of Galaxy S20 5G is set at $999 (around Rs. 1,19,990 in Nepal). But if you pre-order now, you can get Samsung Galaxy S20 for Rs. 1,07,499 in Nepal. No 4G variant of Samsung Galaxy S20 has released in the event and we think later Samsung will release 4G variants to keep the cost down.

Display and Design
Galaxy S20 will feature a 6.2-inch Dynamic AMOLED QHD+(1440X3200 pixels) panel with a 20:9 aspect ratio. The display has a 90% screen to body ratio by adapting a punch hole at the top middle of the panel. The screen is protected by Gorilla Glass 6 and they claimed that it will survive underwater for 30 minutes with depth up to 1.5m.

The great thing about the display is that they got a 120Hz refresh rate. So the content and animation will look even smoother without worrying about lagging issues. This display also supports HDR content and the curve edge will make content to be immersed in the surrounding environment. Finally, Samsung provided the best available display to the Galaxy S20 series.

Chipset and Performance
A couple of months ago intel had revealed their new chipsets, and among them, Samsung chose to use Snapdragon 865 Chipset in their Galaxy S20 variants which will be shipped to the USA. Other models of Galaxy S20 will be powered by Samsung’s own Exynos 990 chipset. Both of the chipsets support 5G connectivity and are capable enough to handle any present-day application smoothly without any lagging issues.

According to official information, only one variant of Galaxy S20 5G is available to be purchased. The 12/128GB RAM and Storage variant has a faster LPDDR5 RAM and UFS 3.0 Storage. Additionally, Samsung Galaxy S20 5G supports external microSD cards, which allows users to expand storage by up to 1TB.

Galaxy S20 got triple rear camera setup at back, while Galaxy S20+ and S20 Ultra got Quad rear camera setup. Samsung opted for a 12MP f/1.8 main sensor which got dual pixel binding feature and OIS for stable video capture. The main sensor is assisted by a 64MP f/2.0 telephoto lens with a 3X optical zoom and 12 MP f/2.2 ultrawide sensor.

At the front, there is a 10MP selfie shooter in a punch-hole display. Regarding the photo and video quality, it seems like Samsung has improved its camera sensor and resolution compared to its predecessor. The surprising thing is that Galaxy S20 can capture 8K(4320p) footage at 24 fps, 4K(2160p) up to 60fps, FHD(1080p) up to 240fps and HD(720p) at 960fps. With OIS, EIS, stereo sound, and HDR support, the video captured by S20 will be the best.

Battery and Other Features
The battery size has been increased and now Galaxy S20 has a 4000 mAh battery that supports 25W fast charging technology. Users will be able to charge from zero to full in just 74 minutes of charging time. Not only that, but it also supports 15W fast wireless charging and 9W reverse wireless charging technology.

About the connectivity, Galaxy S20 got Wi-Fi 6 (802.11 ax), Bluetooth V5.0, NFC, GPS, GLONASS, FM Radio, etc. the ultrasonic under-display fingerprint sensor we saw on Galaxy S10 has got upgraded and now the sensor present in S20 will be able to scan two fingers at once with higher accuracy. No headphone jack is present and it seems like Samsung will not provide one for their flagship device anymore.
