Redmi K30 so far
The first rumors about the K30 started back in August. At the time, Weibing had confirmed that the phone will feature 5G connectivity. Another former teaser from the Xiaomi official confirmed a punch-hole display on the Redmi K30. The phone is also expected to house dual front cameras in the pill-shaped punch-hole housing which looks almost similar to that of Samsung Galaxy Note 10 Plus.
While it comes to the specifications of the device, Redmi K30 is rumored to pack a 6.66-inch FHD+ display with a massive 120Hz refresh rate. It has also been confirmed that the device will be shipped with MIUI 11 out of the box. The poster teased by Weibing also reveals that the K30 will come with a beautiful display surrounded by slim bezels on three sides. There is an oval-shaped punch hole in the upper-right corner for the dual selfie camera, which is another first for the Chinese phone maker. Looking closely, we can also spot the phone has a very wide earpiece, which hints that it may double up as a speaker for stereo sound.
Xiaomi CEO Lei Jun recently spoke about launching a series of affordable Xiaomi phones with 5G support. Jun said that all of Xiaomi’s phones launched in the first half of 2020 for $285 or more will offer 5G connectivity. Redmi K20 series phones were launched in June this year but Xiaomi is planning to bring K30 series phones earlier than expected this time.
The company earlier hinted that the K30 will not be the most affordable 5G phone out there, but it won’t be too expensive either. Are you waiting for Redmi K30 or K30 Pro? Let us know in the comments section below.
